Entergalactic shows the balance between Kid Cudi’s personal and love life; will be produced by Netflix
entergalacticnew animation from Netflix created by rapper Kid Cudi in partnership with Kenya Barrelswon its first trailer during the digital event Netflix Geeked.
The series, aimed at an adult audience, follows the eponymous musical album by I took care. Inspired by the artist’s life, the animation will tell the journey of his character, Jabari, in the turbulent streets of New York.
The animation, which will feature original music, will follow the protagonist’s move to an apartment next to Meadow’s (photographer voiced by Jessica Williams), showing the balance of jabari in personal and professional life.
The plot should explore the meeting and evolution of the relationship between them, while also following the growth of their respective careers, with the promise of “an explosion of art, music and fashion” in a “city that manages to balance all three: New York”.
In addition to the voices of Kid Cudi and Timothée Chalametthe series will feature Vanessa Hudgens, Jaden Smith, Macaulay Culkin, Laura Harrier, Teyana Taylor, Christopher Abbott and Keith Davidas well as contributions from other artists, such as Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake.
entergalactic should debut in the catalog of Netflix between September and November.
