Good news for the second season of Pacifier

The DC Cinematic Universe has had its ups and downs in recent years. The development of some projects has been chaotic and to put things in order, Warner Bros. has entrusted DC Studio James Gunn and producer Peter Safran. An interesting choice given that the filmmaker, after collaborating with Marvel Studio, achieved excellent results The suicide squad (2021), and continued in this universe with the series Pacifier (2022).

Even if these are not the productions that attracted the greatest number of people (especially the Covid period must be taken into account), both had a good response from the press and public. Season 1 of Pacifier in particular it received an average rating of 94% from the press and 89% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. But two years after it aired on HBO Max (then on Prime Video for France in December 2022), a season 2 it is always waiting. While he is preparing another big project with Superman: LegacyJames Gunn broke news about the show and it’s pretty encouraging.

New credits coming soon

In fact, it is via the social network Row of which the director has announced the second season Pacifier was still in preparation and now half of the scripts have been written. Good news even if it means that we will have to wait a little longer before seeing its return John Cena as Christopher Smith.

But James Gunn also announced that there will be a change for next season a new generic. If the first season delighted fans with its delirious side, the director stated that the next one will be different but “equally beautiful“.

As a reminder, Pacifier follows Amanda Waller’s team as they rehire Christopher Smith as he emerges from his coma (following the events of The suicide squad). The superhero, although rather beta, turns out to be more complex than it seems…
