Adan Canto died at 42 years old

He was a face that fans of the series knew well, both as a follower of an assassin The following (2013) or as White House Chief of Staff in Designated survivor (2016-2019). 42 years oldthe actor Adam Canto died this Monday, November 8, announced Variety. Born on December 5, 1981 in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, the actor fought against appendiceal cancer. Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment paid tribute to him in a press release released by the American media:

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Adan Canto. A wonderful actor and dear friend, we have been honored to have him as part of the Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment family since his U.S. debut with “The Following” more than a decade ago.

The press release also mentions his recent participation in The cleaning ladyand highlights the “powerful performance that showcased her artistry, range, depth and vulnerability“. Adam Canto is survived by his wife Stephanie Ann Canto and their two children.

Adan Canto’s career began in the early 2010s in Mexico. He appeared in both series and films and soon attracted the attention of Hollywood. Since 2013 he has become one of the most important secondary characters of The following, alongside Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. Then, the following year, we see it appear X-Men: Days of Future Past as the superhero Solar. However, he remains more associated with small screen programs, such as Mixoloy (2013-2014) e Narcos (2015), Netflix series in which he plays Minister Lara.
