El Mato a Police Motorizado participates in the album “Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense”which will be released on May 17, being the only group from Latin America to be part of this project.
And it will be performing the song “Slippery People”originally published in 1984.
The album also features artists such as Miley Cyrus, Paramore, Lorde and The National, among others.
Mirroring the track listing from the original LP, these 16 reinterpretations will not only introduce Talking Heads’ music to a new generation of listeners, but also offer new perspectives and unique versions of songs that longtime fans have known by heart since years.
This selection of artists recontextualizes “Stop Making Sense” in popular music and culture, emphasizing generational and stylistic breadth.
