In addition to Stranger Things, another Netflix production was also watched for 1 billion hours: Round 6
As expected, the 4th season of Stranger Thingsoriginal series Netflix created by the brothers duffer, became an absolute success. In addition to being one of the most talked about topics on social networks, the fourth part of the series was watched for approximately 1 billion hours on the platform, according to information from Rolling Stone USA.

This was not the first series of the Netflix to reach that mark. In November 2021, round 6a South Korean production that was an absolute success of the year, totaled 1.65 billion hours viewed in just four weeks after its launch.
creators of Stranger Things has ‘totally different’ idea for spin-off
Stranger Things (2016) is a success of the Netflix since launch, so it’s not shocking to learn that Matt and Ross Duffer are already thinking about series or derivative films. However, the brothers duffer has “very different” ideas for expanding the Upside Down.
on the podcast Happy Sad Confusedthe series’ creators cleared up rumors about entirely character-centric prequels such as Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) or Steve (Joe Keery) and even talked about the plot possibilities for the spin-off.
That’s not interesting to me because we’ve already done all that. We spent I don’t know how many hours exploring all this. So it’s very different.
The filmmaking duo revealed that the spin-off will be “1000% different” from the main series, and the biggest link between Stranger Things and the derivative production will be the “storytelling sensibility” and not the main characters.
We hope to find the right person to pass the baton while we do new things. We’re really excited about the spinoff idea.
Finally, they commented that not even the Netflix is aware of the direction that the Upside Down of production could take in the next sequels.
