Pennywise is back on our screens for new thrills
Horror and gore fans will be served next week. In fact, HBO will reveal the prequel series from the scariest clown: This: welcome to Derry. Perfect for scaring yourself on Halloween.
Once again, Grippe-Sou’s universe is driven by Andy Muschietti who created the diptych That (2018) e En: Chapter 2 (2019) at the cinema. His sister Barbara Muschietti once again assists him in the production, while Jason Fuchs takes care of the film’s screenplays nine episodes. And the latter did not skimp on the means, in particular on the appearance blood and the violence of history.
“That: Welcome to Derry”: a series that will surprise viewers
While previewing This: welcome to DerryJason Fuchs justified himself Variety his choice to inject more blood and violence into the series.
“I think the audience likes to be surprised, stimulated like never before. We showed greater intensity at all levels,” he said.
However, during filming, the team was sure that the studio Warner Bros. (owner of HBO) would ask them to put an end to violence.
“During the filming, I thought, ‘I’m going to get a call.’ But we kept presenting these scenes and these episodes, and they kept responding and loving them. We were very lucky to have the support of the studio,” Barbara Muschietti exults.
