This statue will therefore join that of the many other characters already immortalized in Leicester Square. We can already find it there Paddington, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, Batman or even Indiana Jones. Also Game of Thrones from game of Thrones it is reproduced there. But as Eric Fellner points out, Bridget Jones will be the first romantic comedy to be immortalized in this way.
A fifth film on the way?
As for the future of the saga in cinema, the idea of a fifth part of the adventures of Bridget Jones cannot be ruled out. But that should be up to Helen Fielding, the author of the novels on which the films are based. During an interview after the release of the fourth part, Renée Zellweger confided to Expiration : “If Helen writes something new, then I’m in”.
