Singer releases the freest album of his career, Let It Burn / Deixa Arder, and presents a show at Circo Voador in November
The singer and composer Chico Chico presents the most ambitious project of his career: the album Let It Burn and a national tour that begins on November 13th at Flying Circusin Rio de Janeiro. The work marks a new artistic chapter that combines influences from rock, folk and Brazilian popular music in a visceral and introspective album.
The show, named after the album, inaugurates the partnership of Chico with the LOBSTER. “Chico is a new, powerful and authentic artist. We want to take him even further”, he says Diogo Damascenapresident of the company. The show proposes an immersive experience, with a conceptual stage, extensive repertoire and plural sound.
Available on digital platforms, the album — released by Deck Discs — covers multiple styles and emotions. Among the tracks are “So Much to Say”, “Dishware Time” and “No need”which explore the composer’s most romantic side. The experimental ones “Two Mother’s Blues”, “H Time” and “Inevitable Chance” They move between blues, groove and gospel. “It’s the freest album I’ve ever made. It translates exactly what I feel and think now”, he says Chico.
Produced by Pedro Fonsecathe work brings participation from Josyara, Marcos Suzano and Carlos Malta in the lane “Parabellum of Existence”in addition to reinterpretations of Zé Ramalho (“Vila do Sossego”), Bob Dylan (“Girl From the North Country”) and Stephen Stills (“Four and Twenty”). The result is a sound crossing between rhythms and geographies — from the Brazilian interior to the North American folk tradition.
The tour Let It Burn already have confirmed dates in Campinas, São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, Reef, Strength and Curitibawith performances until January 2026.
Chico Chico consolidates his own identity in the new generation of MPB
Since the beginning of his career, Chico Chico stands out for its authenticity and unique voice. His career began in 2015 with the band 2×0 Vargem Alta. Since then, the artist has accumulated important collaborations and nominations. The song “The City” was nominated to Latin Grammyand the partnership with Fran Gil, “Nobody”surpassed 23 million reproductions in Spotify and was part of the soap opera’s soundtrack Go in Faithfrom the TV Globo.
