RuPaul Extends His Series of Grand Emmy Awards in Reality Shows or Competitions to Seven

RuPaul’s historic winning streak continues.

Creator, Executive Producer and Presenter RuPaul’s Drag Race Race With 11 Oscars at Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmy, he became the most decorated black artist in Emmy history. He has won the award for Best Presenter of a Reality or Competition Program every year since 2016, taking his seventh straight win in the category this weekend. His Emmy count is now 12.

“I love, I love, I love television and you make television,” RuPaul said as he accepted the award onstage at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. “It’s a privilege to be on television and doing something I’ve loved all my life. I want to thank all the people who do this. ”

He then shouted at Norman Lear in the crowd, asking the audience to “thank him for everything he’s done. I also want to thank everyone I work with. And he added: “I joined the union Arsenic ShowI want to thank Arsenio for the TV show.

RuPaul faced Bobby Burke, Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antony Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness (weird eye); nicole bayerget!); Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary (shark tank); Padma Lakshmi (the best cook); and Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman (Making).

RuPaul also received nominations this year (as Executive Producer) for Outstanding Competition Program (to be presented at the September 12 primetime ceremony) and Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. RuPaul’s Drag Race loose. He has 19 nominations so far.
