During the D23 was officially announced by Pixar both the 2023 release of Elemental and the follow-up to Within Out (2015).
The news was confirmed by Amy Phoelherrevealed that Kelsey Mann (The Good Dinosaur) will direct the film, based on a script by Meg said LeFauve.

confirmed the actress. The film will take place in the head of Riley, who is now a teenager, with new emotions coming into play. The film is expected in the summer of 2024.
This is the sixth Pixar film to have a sequel, previously we had Cars, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story and Monster Inc.
