Other correlations were found: frequent bowel movements were associated with a higher risk of developing heart failure, cerebral infarction, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

As scientists explain, daily bowel movements are the norm. The rarer three times a week are also correlated with various health problems, such as major coronary pathologies and ischemic strokes.
