MSNBC Films Acquires Trevor Noah’s Documentary Series “The Tipping Point”

The series on American cultural variability and 2020 election results, LGBTQ+ rights, political polarization and the global refugee crisis will air on MSNBC and Peacock this fall.

“I always felt that MSNBC was a perfect fit for this unique series. They’re not afraid to dig into the headlines to see the stories in a more nuanced and holistic way, and that’s what I wanted for this series, a home that allowed us to take risks, dig deep, and tell with meaning. “Stories that will help inform and inspire,” executive producer Noe said in a statement Thursday.

This partnership between the great teams at MSNBC Films and Day Zero, TIME Studios and Sugar 23 allows us to explore key moments in our history and explore the way forward,” added Rashida Jones, President and CEO of MSNBC.

Each film will feature directors and narrators, including Oscar nominee Orlando von Einzidel, former Sundance player Sam Federer and Emmy winner Daresha Ki.

turning point Also executive producers are Amanda Espan, Michael Shagar, Ashley Zalta, David Hillman, Ian Orpheus, Alexa Conway, Lauren Hammonds, Norman Aladjemi, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin. Elizabeth Waller is the show’s lead and executive producer.

Noah is managed by CAA, Mainstay Entertainment, Hansen Jacobson and Jill Fritzo PR.
