Zara McDermott has told fans she is very in love with boyfriend Louis Tomlinson after the couple enjoyed an idyllic autumn countryside break together.
The 29-year-old former Love Island contestant took to Instagram on Monday to share a collection of photographs from their seasonal getaway, following Tomlinson's return to the United Kingdom from the Australian leg of his solo World Tour.

During their rural holiday, the couple spent time taking country walks, enjoying a traditional roast dinner, and watching the sunset. Alongside her gallery of pictures, McDermott wrote: "Very happy. very full. very cosy. very in love."

The television personality and the 34-year-old One Direction singer have been in a relationship since early 2025. Their romance began after McDermott separated from her former partner, Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson.
Living arrangements and family life
McDermott recently discussed their relationship for the first time in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK, describing Tomlinson as her "Prince Charming" and likening their romance to a fairy tale.
"We've lived together for a while now, honestly, it's just been amazing," McDermott told the magazine. "I genuinely can't even say one [irritating habit]. He's like my Prince Charming. He's like my fairy tale."
She added: "He is genuinely the most amazing person I've ever met in my life, he's an inspiration to me in so many ways. He is the most empathetic, considerate, kind person. He will always think about every single other person before himself, and I think that is such a rare quality to find in someone."

The couple divide their time between Britain and the United States, where Tomlinson's son Freddie is based. In August last year, reports revealed that McDermott had moved into the singer's multimillion-pound north London mansion after briefly returning to live with her parents following her departure from the Fulham home she previously shared with Thompson.
Privacy and domestic routine
Despite their public profiles, McDermott explained that she and Tomlinson place high value on keeping their romance out of the spotlight. She noted that members of the public still do not know how the pair first met or "anything about our relationship."

"We're obviously not a secret, but we're not shouting from the rooftops about it because that's actually a beautiful thing to have just for you," McDermott said. She shared that their quiet evenings together at home usually involve watching television, with Tomlinson preferring a perfectly brewed Yorkshire tea.

Fan loyalty and public appearances
Tomlinson first rose to worldwide prominence after auditioning on The X Factor, where he became one fifth of the global pop group One Direction. McDermott acknowledged the dedicated supporters her boyfriend has retained throughout his solo music career.
"I knew that Lou was going to have a huge fan base, and his fan base are so protective and loving and supportive of him in every way," she stated. "I understand their protectiveness. It's like a fierce loyalty." She admitted, however, that navigating that level of public attention is not without its challenges.
The couple made their relationship official on Instagram in June last year, five months after they first began dating. The confirmation came while they were attending Glastonbury Festival with friends, where fans spotted them sharing an affectionate embrace in a TikTok video as Tomlinson wrapped his arms around McDermott while listening to live music.
Music success and busy schedules
Tomlinson has enjoyed a successful period in his solo career, securing a Number One album with his record How Did I Get Here?. McDermott has regularly travelled to support him on his international tour, though her own work commitments in Britain have required her to take multiple return flights home.
Meanwhile, McDermott's former partner Thompson has also moved on. The reality television star confirmed his relationship with 25-year-old influencer Talitha Balinska in early December. Thompson later revealed in February that he had told Balinska he was in love with her while sitting on the sofa together, confiding to his friend Pete that he had known his feelings for some time.
McDermott first rose to fame on the fourth series of ITV2 dating show Love Island in 2018 before joining Made in Chelsea and subsequently presenting factual documentaries for the BBC, while Tomlinson continues his worldwide solo music career.
