Greek singer Angeliki Iliadi has announced the end of her professional collaboration with manager Christos Papamitrou following behavior she said crossed ethical boundaries.

The singer explained in a post on her personal Instagram account on Wednesday morning, August 19, that the decision to terminate their working relationship was made after extensive consideration.
Iliadi stated that every professional partnership relies primarily on trust, honesty, mutual respect, and consistency. She added that when these core principles are repeatedly breached in a manner that destroys trust, continuing the partnership is no longer an option.

Breach of trust and ethics
While noting that she does not typically publicize details of her professional relationships, Iliadi said it was necessary to clarify that her decision was neither light-hearted nor the result of a simple business disagreement. She emphasized that specific events and behaviors had exceeded what she considers professionally and ethically acceptable, making any further cooperation impossible.
The singer noted that their professional paths have separated permanently. She added that she chose not to elaborate further, not because there was nothing left to say, but because dignity is demonstrated through what one chooses to keep private.
Demand for mutual respect
In the caption accompanying her announcement, Iliadi wrote that she demands respect in both her personal and professional dealings, stating that when respect is absent, she brings the relationship to a close. She noted that she maintains a very small circle in both her private and professional life, always treating partners with honesty and expecting the same in return.
Iliadi is a prominent Greek laiko singer who has built a popular career in the Greek music industry over several decades. Known for her live performances in major nightspots across Greece, she frequently collaborates with prominent venue operators and music managers.
Manager response and future plans
Addressing the split through an Instagram story, Christos Papamitrou confirmed that his collaboration with Iliadi had concluded after 17 months and 144 live musical performances.

Papamitrou added that he will soon announce new professional partnerships, teasing that a major project is currently in development.
