Amazon Prime Video has added the political thriller film Anniversary, starring Diane Lane in her return to a major leading role in cinema.
Directed by Jan Komasa, the filmmaker behind Corpus Christi and Hater, the movie combines family drama, suspense, and political conflict. The narrative begins with an everyday family situation before turning into a disturbing story.
Lane plays Ellen Taylor, a university professor whose life grows complex when her former student Liz reappears and begins a romantic relationship with Ellen's son, Josh.
The situation turns alarming when Ellen discovers that Liz is connected to El Cambio, or The Change, a movement gaining influence in a climate of political polarization and social uncertainty.
