In 2005, the film Memoirs of a Geisha was released. Perhaps today, almost 20 years after the premiere, few will remember the plot of the tape. But if you’ve watched this movie, you probably haven’t forgotten how charming the main character was.

Japanese geisha Chio in Memoirs was played by 26-year-old Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. The role did not become a breakthrough for Zhang: she had previously acted in box office films. However, it was after this that the Chinese woman was included in the list of the most beautiful actresses of our time – and they began to invite more and more people to play in Hollywood.

Zhang just turned 44. His recent film credits include a supporting role in Godzilla (2019) and voice work in the second Avatar (2022). Ziyi pays much more attention to charity and works with fashion houses. In addition, in 2020 the movie star became a mother for the second time – so she prefers to spend all her free time with her family.

Chinese women are renowned for their ability to stay young for many years. But Zhang seems to be particularly good at it. In new photos, she looks almost the same as when Memoir of a Geisha premiered. Of course, the actress is periodically suspected of plastic surgery. However, this is not surprising: the complete absence of wrinkles seems too suspicious at his age!
