Types of tubularity
Most often, this anomaly in the development of the mammary glands occurs on both sides, but it is not necessarily symmetrical. Let’s take a closer look at the types of the tubularity classification described below.
First type
The most subtle type of tubularity. In this case, girls are most often not even aware that there is a problem. This degree is characterized by impaired development and lack of shape of the lower-inner quadrant of the mammary glands. The areola with this type of tubularity most often has a normal or slightly enlarged appearance.
second kind
It is characterized by impaired development and lack of shape of the entire lower pole of the mammary glands. The gland tissue is maximally concentrated in the region of the areola and the upper pole of the chest. The areola is stretched, there is often a ptosis.
Third kind
It is characterized by impaired development and lack of shape of the mammary glands in the lower and upper poles. The entire tissue of the gland is concentrated behind the areola, which, in turn, is strongly stretched and elongated with a “tube”. As a result, the so-called “areolar hernia” and breast ptosis are formed.
How to Fix Tubular Breasts
There is an opinion on the net that with the timely detection of a tubular deformity of the breast, it is necessary to perform special exercises, which are supposed to help solve the problems. Let me tell you right now that it won’t help. There are no muscles in the mammary gland, it is purely physical to “inflate” it. The only advantage of physical exercises is that the volume of the pectoral muscles increases, due to which the glands rise a little, but this will not affect the shape of the breast. Tubular breasts can only be corrected surgically.
Here are the most common fixes:
- Reduction of the areola and separation of the intraglandular bridges which create an unnatural shape of the breast. It can be used both alone and in combination with other methods.
- Stents of the mammary glands – the installation of silicone stents helps to replenish the volume of the breast and expand its base.
- Lipofilling is a method of introducing your own fatty tissue into the mammary gland area. The operation involves several stages and is not suitable for very thin girls. It consists of removing adipose tissue using liposuction from areas of the body where it is in excess. Then the resulting fat cells are processed by a special method and injected into the mammary gland area. This method of correction often requires several steps, because too much fatty tissue cannot be injected in 1 procedure in order to avoid postoperative complications.
- Complex operation. This method most effectively helps to correct the tubular deformity of the breast. Most often, it includes replacement of the stent with silicone implants, reduction of the areola and separation of the intraglandular bridges, as well as additional shape correction by small-volume lipofilling.
