President Mikhail Selyanin and Scientific Director of Martinex Natalia Mikhailova, leading Russian scientists, recipients of the UNESCO Gold Medal for Contribution to the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, the Belgian Order of Merit for Invention, and more than 10 international awards, explain why do not be afraid of stopping the supply of Western drugs.
Martinex is not only science, but also production, isn’t it?
This year the company is celebrating its anniversary: 25 years ago we were the first to bring mesotherapy to Russia, and in 2010 we registered it as a medical technology. Martinex today is one of the few full-cycle Russian companies that provides the beauty business with the widest range of unique high-quality products of its own science-intensive production. In 2005 we were the first in Russia to build the production of drugs for the cosmetology market – “Laboratory Tuscany”, which operates on the basis of its own patented technologies according to European standards using raw materials. The creation of each drug begins with the development of the formula and testing in our own International Research Center for Innovative Technologies Martinex. After that, the drugs undergo clinical trials, receive registration and are put into production. This is followed by professional training of cosmetologists in the method of using the drug – and the procedures become available in clinics and salons in Russia and more than 30 countries around the world.
What problems do your drugs solve?
The range of injection formulations is very wide. They have a high level of efficiency and safety, thanks to which all popular cosmetic procedures are available to Russians. We produce Russian innovative Hyaluform fillers based on hyaluronic acid. This is the first Russian brand of fillers, which is registered in the European Union, where it has received recognition and is actively used for lip augmentation, cheekbones, nose correction, nasolabial folds and other areas of the face and body. For more than 15 years, the Skinasil mesotherapy product line has been successfully used to correct aesthetic imperfections not only of the face and body, but also of the scalp.
Do you have unique drugs in your portfolio?
Bioreparants Hyalrepair (“Gialripayer”) – brand that has no analogues in the world. It is based on technology that has been awarded the highest international award by UNESCO. Thanks to this invention, the term “bioreparation” itself appeared. This is the only drug in the world in cosmetology that has proven geroprotective properties. It fights visible signs of skin aging: reduces wrinkles, relieves swelling and hyperpigmentation.
Together with injectables, many European brands of cosmeceuticals left our market. Is there an alternative to them?
We have a wide range of medical peels and our own well-known professional brand Mesaltera by Dr. Mikhaylova with a high concentration of active ingredients. Mesaltera is aimed at solving a whole range of aesthetic problems and is often an effective alternative to mesotherapy.
It is surprising that until now, so little has been said about Russian companies that produce injectables and have their own base …
Meanwhile, we have registered 25 international and Russian patents for the creation of various complexes based on hyaluronic acid. So Russian women should not worry: injection procedures and high-quality professional cosmetics will be available in all regions of Russia!
