Cardi B partied into the early hours in America on Friday night after making history as the first female rapper to earn four diamond-certified songs. The 33-year-old rapper appeared in high spirits as she headed out for the evening.
Cardi B caught the eye in a plunging white top and skintight trousers which matched her mint green heels. The milestone was reached on Monday, when her hit collaboration WAP featuring Megan Thee Stallion officially surpassed 10 million units sold in the United States.
A diamond-certified song is a single that has achieved at least 10 million equivalent units in sales and streams. This follows her earlier hits Bodak Yellow from 2017, I Like It from 2018, and Girls Like You from 2018.
Music Milestone and Body Image
Her night out comes after Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, admitted in an Instagram Live session that she has had her bum injections dissolved, according to People. The admission came days after she sparked uproar with her plump posterior onstage at Pacha NYC.
Cardi B denied going under the knife to regain a more natural appearance, reportedly claiming to have not had any surgeries since January 2024, when she reduced her injections. "A lot of y’all keep telling me to go get my a** reduced," the WAP rapper said. "I don’t need to go get my a** reduced. News flash: I did get my a** reduced."
The Daily Mail has reached out to Cardi B's representatives for comment but has not heard back yet. She went on to explain that she couldn't completely reverse the process for fear of being left with a drooping posterior.
Cosmetic Procedures and Surgery Claims
Cardi B said she "can’t just go and lipo[suction] my butt, because my skin is, like, kinda loose", which she said was "why my a** shakes so much". She explained that a liposuction procedure, in which fat cells would be liquified and then suctioned out of the body permanently for cosmetic effect, would be "the easy way", but it could cause her backside to "drop".
"So I would have to cut myself. And I’m not cutting myself," Cardi B continued. "I’m not sitting down for four months. I’m outside, like I said." She added, "I like my body how it looks right now. I’m comfortable in my skin."
Cardi B also tried to differentiate herself from other celebrities who are considerably more opaque about what cosmetic procedures they have undergone. "I’m very, very honest," she said. "First of all, I got two lipos and one a** reduction."
Ultimately, Cardi B explained that she decided to get her plumped-up posterior toned down because she thought it didn't suit her otherwise "petite" frame. "First thing first, I am a small girl," she said. "I’m a very small, petite girl. My mom is petite. My sister’s petite. My aunts are small."
