The Bad Batch: 5 reasons to watch the new season of the series

With new episodes every Wednesday,”Star Wars: The Bad Lot“, premiered its new season earlier this year. Overall there are 16 episodes, 13 of which are already available on the platform.

The animated production of the Star Wars universe follows the “Evil Deeds”, a group with unique abilities who continue their journey, navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will find friends and enemies, some new, some familiar, in various mercenary and exciting missions that will take them to new and dangerous places.

Released in 2021 to great fan acceptance, the first season of “Star Wars: The Bad Lot” introduces the Clone Force 99, a group of clones with genetic variations of their Clone Army siblings. Calling themselves the “Evil Dones”, the team consists of the leader Hunter, as well as Wrecker, Tech, Echo and Crosshair, each with their own unique abilities. The group’s mission is to find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the wake of the Clone Wars.

The story continues in Season 2! Months have passed since the events of Kamino and the Bad Batches will continue their journey across the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will encounter new and familiar friends and foes as they embark on a series of exciting mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.

Award-winning voice cast

“Star Wars: The Bad Lotstars Emmy® nominee Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad) as the English voice of each of the Bad Batch squadron members and Emmy® nominee Michelle Ang (Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462) as the English voice of the Emmy winner Rhea Perlman (The Mindy Project, Cheers) returns for a second season to guest star as Cid, while Noshir Dalal (It’s Pony, The Owl House) returns as Vice Admiral Rampart and the Emmy winner Wanda Sykes (The Upshaws, Black-ish) makes her debut in the new episodes as a guest star on the series, playing Phee Genoa.

Josh Rime (STAR WARS: THE RESISTANCE, STAR WARS: VISIONS) and Alex Spotswood (STAR WARS: CLONE WARS, STAR WARS REBELS) serve as producers and Matt Michnovetz as story editor. Directed by Brad Rau (STAR WARS REBELS, STAR WARS: THE RESISTANCE), who is also an executive producer, and the screenplay is by Corbett.

Features characters from live-action productions from the Star Wars universe

The mercenary Fennec Shand (played by Ming-Na Wen in the live-action version) is an important part of the plot of Star Wars: The Bad Lot. The character was introduced to the public in THE MANDALORIAN and is one of the protagonists of THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, both series exclusive to Disney+.

Another name that is part of the animation is Saw Guerrera (played by Forest Whitaker in the live-action). The rebel leader appears in the film ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY (2016) and in the series WALKER.

Finally, one of the main villains of Star Wars, Moff Tarkin, is also in “The bad lot”. The powerful leader of the empire and one of those responsible for building the Death Star appears in the films STAR WARS: EPISODE III – REVENGE OF THE SITH (2005), STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE it’s at ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY (2016), starring Wayne Pygram, Peter Cushing and Guy Henry, respectively.
