The actress who played Cassandra spoke in a series backstage interview with Miguel Falabella and Tom Cavalcante

Actress Aracy Balabanian said she asked to leave the Globo series “Sai de Baixo”, in which she played the character of Cassandra. At the time of recording, she told director Daniel Filho that she wasn’t responding to the other cast members for not being able to hold back laughter by listening to the lines from Migue Falabella and Tom Cavalcanti on stage.
“In ‘Sai de Baixo’ I suffered from horrors. Because there was one thing that my father corrected me a lot: I said something and laughed or cried before concluding,” he said in an interview with Pedro Bial.
According to her, it was very difficult to hold back the laughter and continue the scene after the funny improvisations of her co-stars. “I said: ‘Daniel, I have to leave because I’m not a correspondent’. He: ‘Why?’. ‘Because the other starts talking, especially Miguel Falabella and Tom Cavalcante, who improvised, and at the time I could not control myself, I also nailed myself! ‘”.

But Aracy said the director advised her not to hold back laughter and act naturally. Then, she explained that after this “permission”, viewers could hear her laughing at the end of all the lines. “And it turned out, as Miguel himself said, that I ended the joke. The joke ended with me,” she concluded.
