Then and now: where did the stars of the TV screen – Hanga, Bordovskikh and others disappear

There was a time when these faces flashed regularly on television. But where are they now?

We are sure that each of these faces will immerse you in a nostalgic past. With the heroes of this collection, we woke up, discussed matters of the heart and tested our intellectual abilities. What happened to those who set the tone for our day?

Julia Bordovskikh

Julia began her career on television in 1994 and, specializing in sports programs and current affairs, very quickly became the face of the NTV channel. Bordovskikh also collaborated with the TV-6 channel, which was very popular at that time. She was repeatedly called one of the most beautiful and spectacular TV presenters in our country.

In 2010, Yulia left television, and in 2017 she completely moved to the United States, which is why she disappeared from the radar. Today, Bordovskikh lives again in the capital, but she has radically changed her role: now she positions herself as an insta-blogger, health and lifestyle coach. That’s it.

Ivan Demidov

It is simply impossible to imagine a super hit – the program “MuzOboz” without its host Ivan Demidov (still wearing dark glasses). Thanks to his charisma, the journalist suddenly became a superstar, but at the end of the 90s he suddenly disappeared from the screens, giving way to Otar Kushanashvili and Lera Kudryavtseva as the host of MuzOboz.

It turned out that Ivan prefers to work behind the scenes: he became the director of TV-6, then vice-president of the Moscow Independent Broadcasting Corporation, and in 2005 he founded the Orthodox channel Spas. Today Demidov is the director of Zaryadye Park.

Elena Khanga

The talk show “About it” produced the effect of a bomb exploding in our country. So, frankly, sex in our country hasn’t been talked about yet. The success of the uncensored program ensured the popularity of its presenter, Elena Hange. Later, Elena became the host of the show Domino Principle, where her co-hosts several times were Dana Borisova, Elena Ishcheeva and Elena Starostina.

Hangi’s popularity knew no bounds, and she was able to realize herself on television for a long time. But Elena chose a family: in 2006, she quit her job to take care of raising her daughter. Today, Hanga occasionally appears at social events, and even less often on television as a guest. In an interview, the TV presenter noted that she does not regret her decision to quit her job at all.

Svetlana Sorokina

The audience adored the host of Vesti on the First Channel, Svetlana Sorokina, not only for her presentable appearance, pleasant voice, irony and frankness, but also for the trademark “farewell” with which she closed each issue. Then Svetlana worked on TV-6, on TVS, then there was the Premiere again, followed by a radio show on Ekho Moskvy. In 2011, Sorokina left television, returned four years later – hosted a custom show on Dozhd.

Today Svetlana is a teacher at the Higher School of Economics, she still works at the Ekho Moskvy radio station and devotes the rest of her time to her family – her adopted daughter Tonya.

Valery Komissarov

We owe the appearance of the popular talk show “My Family” to Valery Komissarov. The author and host of the show himself was awfully proud of his creation, noting that the show “shows how to live and how not to live, allows sharing of experience, gives advice, answers questions. I really want peace, tranquility, marital idyll to reign in every family. The television program quickly became a food brand in its own right.

In addition to the My Family program, Valery has participated in many others: Maryina Grove, The Ideal Man, Cheers!, Family News, What Does a Woman Want?, Girl’s Tears, The Burden of Money, “Home” and “Service of private information”. He also participated in the scandalous reality “Windows” and “Dom-2”.

Today, Valéry continues to develop on television. So, in February 2020, her new show “Battle of Thrones” began on the Megogo video resource. As for his personal life, Komissarov was married twice, he has five children.

Money, betrayal or fame: what destroyed the marriage of Ksenia Borodina and Kurban Omarov

Ksenia Strizh

During her career, Ksenia stood out in many television projects. Among his most popular programs were “50 x 50”, “Night Rendezvous”, “At Ksyusha’s” and others, followed by no less successful work at radio stations. In the late 2000s, Swift disappeared from television screens, and then a series of failures in her life led her to an addiction to alcohol, which rendered the once brilliant TV host unrecognizable.

In 2016, Ksenia decided to drastically change her life and turned to the 10 Years Younger program for help. A number of beauty and plastic surgery procedures have transformed the TV presenter, and she said that from now on we can expect her to return to work. However, time passed and nothing happened. Swift again disappeared from the radar. It is only known that some time ago Ksenia and her fourth husband thought about reuniting the family, but things have not yet gone beyond talking.
