Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have married in a quiet ceremony at their family home in Cascais, Portugal, with only their children present.
The wedding took place on August 11, marking the tenth anniversary of the couple's first meeting at a Gucci boutique in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant.
Although observers had anticipated a lavish public celebration following their engagement announcement in 2025, the footballer and the content creator chose a private event inside their living room.
Ronaldo, who plays as a forward for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr and captains Portugal, has been in a relationship with Rodríguez since 2016. The family divides their time between their properties in Europe and the Middle East.
An intimate home ceremony
Speaking to the digital edition of Vogue magazine, which gained access to the private wedding and photo album, Rodríguez explained that her preferences had changed over the years. She said that while she had dreamed as a child of a massive castle, a luxury carriage, a long dress, and a diamond crown, she now preferred an intimate ceremony at home with her partner and children.
Rodríguez noted that items such as castles, houses, islands, horses, and luxury cars were accessible to them every day, making a quiet family gathering far more rare. Both bride and groom wore custom Gucci attire for the occasion, honoring the fashion house where their relationship began a decade ago.
The entrepreneur highlighted the significance of getting married in their daily living space, where the family shares breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She added that she hoped that in 30 years their children would look back and remember that their parents exchanged marriage vows at that very table.
Religious blessing and future plans
Following the civil ceremony at home, the couple and their children traveled to a small sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima. A priest blessed their union behind closed doors in a private service focused on faith and reflection.
Although the wedding ceremony remained strictly private, Rodríguez confirmed that a larger celebration with extended family and friends is planned for the future.
