Nilesh Raholia, the founder of London-based jewelry brand Abelini, detailed the bridal ensemble worn by the Spanish model for her marriage to the Portuguese sports star. Rodriguez selected a white suit from Italian luxury fashion house Gucci, which consisted of a silk shirt and matching skirt, paired with satin shoes featuring Gucci's signature Horsebit design.
Her wedding look was completed by an impressive statement necklace from Swiss luxury jewelry maker Chopard, chosen from its Kalahari collection, known as the Garden of Kalahari. The centerpiece of the elaborate piece is a single diamond weighing 50 carats.
Diamond Origins and Uncut Stones
Analyzing the jewelry, Nilesh Raholia explained that what Georgina Rodriguez wore was far more than simply a very expensive diamond necklace. He stated that all of the large gems in the piece were originally uncut raw diamonds, emphasizing that this specific natural origin plays a major role in making the ornament so special.
Raw diamonds are unpolished stones in their original mined state before undergoing precision cutting by master jewelers. Raholia pointed out that creating high jewelry from such rare rough stones accounts for much of its artistic and financial significance.
He noted that establishing an exact price for the necklace is impossible because Chopard provides pricing information only upon direct client request. However, according to data cited by the Daily Mail, the cost of such a necklace could reach $75 million, which equals around six billion rubles.
