American singer Lady Gaga performed at the Ocho y Medio venue in Madrid on February 27, 2009, marking her first and only concert in the Spanish capital.

The performance took place during the early promotional stages for her debut studio album, The Fame, just as single releases such as Just Dance and Poker Face were beginning to gain momentum on international charts outside the United States.

During the same trip to Spain in early 2009, Lady Gaga also made an appearance on Spanish national television. She visited the studio set of Fama, ¡a bailar!, a popular reality dance competition series presented by television host Paula Vázquez. Standing before the academy contestants, Gaga delivered a live performance of Just Dance.

Television debut and Madrid concert

The appearance on Spanish television showcased the artist at a time when her signature visual aesthetic and high-concept stage productions were still taking shape. At the time of the broadcast, television music programs served as a key platform for introducing international pop acts to Spanish audiences.

Later that evening on February 27, 2009, Gaga took to the stage at Ocho y Medio, a music venue in Madrid. The concert offered attendees an intimate look at an emerging international pop artist on the verge of widespread stardom.

The Madrid show remains a unique milestone for Spanish music fans, as it stands as the singer's sole visit to the capital city. Although Lady Gaga has returned to Spain for subsequent tour dates and concerts in other Spanish cities, she has not performed in Madrid since that 2009 date.

Career growth and return to Spain

More than 17 years have passed since the concert at Ocho y Medio. In the years following her Madrid appearance, Lady Gaga developed into a global pop phenomenon, building a catalog that includes seven studio albums such as Born This Way, ARTPOP, Joanne, and Chromatica.

Her career expanded beyond music into feature films, including a lead role in A Star Is Born, which earned her an Academy Award for Best Original Song. She has also completed multiple major world tours and received numerous international awards.

Despite her repeated return visits to perform in other regions of Spain over the past two decades, Madrid remains without a follow-up concert, leaving music fans in the Spanish capital still waiting for her return to the city stage.
