Greek television presenter Lampros Konstantaras has posted an emotional tribute to mark one year since the death of his father, the journalist and author Dimitris Konstantaras, who died at the age of 79 on August 24.
Writing on his personal Instagram account, Lampros Konstantaras said he was glad his father had passed away full and without unfulfilled regrets, as the family prepared to hold an annual memorial service in Athens.

The television host published twenty photographs capturing shared moments with his father over the years, accompanying the post with a message reflecting on their relationship and shared memories.
Lampros Konstantaras confessed that a full year had passed while he looked through hundreds of photographs that they had taken together or that his father had sent from wherever he travelled. He said that was how he would always remember him, adding that he was glad his father had not passed away with unfulfilled regrets.
The presenter expressed happiness for having shared so many moments with his father, such as drinking coffee together, managing to publish their book, and listening carefully to everything his father told him, even when they disagreed on many topics. He added that he hoped he had been by his father side almost always.
He noted that while that constant presence ended on the morning of August 24, the bond continued for their family. Referencing Instagram user @lady_pavl, he added that souls are like birds, and the family believes they come and talk to them.
Memorial service details
Announcing the details of the upcoming memorial service, Lampros Konstantaras stated that an annual memorial service for their father would be held on Sunday, August 23, at 11:45 am.
The memorial service will take place at the Church of Saints Theodoroi, located inside the First Cemetery of Athens.

Dimitris Konstantaras was a prominent Greek journalist, author, television presenter, and politician who served as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for New Democracy. Over a career spanning several decades, he worked across print, radio, and television, authoring numerous books and articles. He was the son of the legendary Greek cinema actor Lambros Konstantaras.
His son, Lampros Konstantaras, has built a career as a journalist, television presenter, and media producer in Greece. The First Cemetery of Athens, where the memorial service will be held, is the historical burial site for many of Greece political, artistic, and cultural figures.
