One of the country’s most famous singers and composers, Gilberto Gil81 years old, he used his social networks last Thursday to share a beautiful collection of carefully selected images, to pay homage to his great friend and workmate Gal Costapassed away a year ago, at the age of 77.

On his official Instagram profile, Gilberto Gil, who has more than 2.4 million followers on the digital platform, published two black and white images. In them, Gil and Gal appear younger, at the time when they created the Tropicália Movement, avant-garde of the 60s, which also had Caetano Veloso, Mary Bethany, Chico Buarque and more.
Then we see two colorful and more current images, in which Gilberto Gil and Gal Costa appear smiling, demonstrating the great affection they had for each other, on and off the stage. In the caption of the share, the singer expressed how much he misses the artist.
“A year of lack of gaúcha”, writes Gilberto Gil. Several fans and admirers made a point of leaving affectionate messages in the comments of the publication. “Forever Enlightened Girl”said one. “The affectionate look between them is something unprintable”wrote another.
