Former Big Brother Brasil contestant Milena Moreira will host a special return of the classic children television programme TV Globinho for TV Globo.
The children show will return to Brazilian television for a single special broadcast on October 10 as part of the annual Crianca Esperanca charity appeal.
Moreira, known to the public as Tia Milena, announced her new hosting role on Friday, September 18, in a post on X, formerly Twitter. Her participation in the upcoming broadcast was confirmed by Brazilian news portal G1.
The influencer published an image taken during her work with children alongside a reflective message about the milestone. She wrote that as a young girl she never could have imagined she would be part of such a beautiful project that she used to watch on television during her childhood.
She offered her sincere thanks to her followers, calling them incredible and telling them that TV Globinho was on its way, before adding that it had always been God.
History of TV Globinho
TV Globinho originally aired on TV Globo between 2000 and 2015, serving as the primary morning children programming block for Brazil largest television network. For fifteen years, the daily strand broadcast popular animated series, cartoons and live studio segments before it was removed from the regular television schedule.
Moreira first achieved national recognition as a contestant on TV Globo reality series Big Brother Brasil. Following her appearance on the reality show, the recreation specialist developed a following as Tia Milena, working regularly with young children and building a substantial social media presence.
Crianca Esperanca is an annual philanthropic campaign organised by TV Globo to generate funding for educational and community projects benefiting vulnerable children across the country. The theme for the 2026 charity special will be Protecting the Future of Children.
Classic presenters set to return
In addition to Moreira, other classic presenters from the history of TV Globinho are expected to return for the October 10 broadcast. Former hosts including Geovanna Tominaga, Icaro Silva and Leticia Colin, who each presented episodes during earlier eras of the show, may appear on screen as part of the reunion.
