Spanish actress Mireia Oriol revealed she experienced a terrifying paranormal event while filming a mystery scene inside an abandoned house. The incident occurred several years ago when she heard an unexplained voice emerge from a glass during production.
Speaking to web cameras for Spanish television network Antena 3, Oriol described the eerie encounter as the most terrifying moment of her life. The revelation coincided with the release of a Halloween special for her current police drama series, Ágata y Lola.
Unexplained voice on set
Oriol recalled that the scene took place in an abandoned property that was already terrifying on its own. According to the script, her character was required to pick up a glass, place it against her ear, and whisper asking if anyone was there, in an attempt to contact her character's sister from the other world.
After completing the scripted action, Oriol placed the glass against her ear and suddenly heard an unintelligible voice coming through the object. She stated that she went pale immediately, prompting her fellow cast members and crew standing beside her to ask if she had made the noise herself.
Oriol told the crew she had done nothing, maintaining to Atresmedia microphones that the unexplained sound gave her the biggest fright she had ever experienced. The source described the real-life incident as adding an extra layer of mystery as the series prepares its Halloween programming.
Halloween episode and series role
The actress recalled the story following the release of the fifth episode of Ágata y Lola, a Halloween-themed installment now streaming on the digital platform atresplayer. In the Atresmedia police series, Oriol stars as Ágata Díaz, an exceptional police archive documentalist who is on the autism spectrum.
