After Willow, Disney+ is canceling another series of the cult film

Mayonnaise does not melt. Disney+ has decided to cancel Lost Treasures, a TV series based on the Benjamin Gates saga. So it faces the same fate as Willow, the sequel to the 80s film, which was also stripped of its second season.

It has to be said that Lost Treasures doesn’t really have the same flavor as the Nicolas Cage film franchise and that it didn’t find its audience. This time we follow the adventures of Jess Morales (Lisette Alexis), a young woman with an interest in history who explores the remains of the past with a group of friends, while trying to trace the origins of her own family history.

The casting of Catherine Zeta-Jones – in the role of the villain – will not convince the audience. As well as appearances by actors seen in Benjamin Gates such as Justin Barta (Riley), Harvey Keitel (Sadusky) and Armando Riesco (Hendrix). This is evidenced by the rating of the series on AlloCiné – a small 3/5.

Lost Treasures isn’t the only Disney+ series canceled in recent months: The Big Shot with John Stamo, Les Petits Champions: Game Changers with Lauren Graham, or even the mysterious Benedict Circle won’t be continuing the adventure.
