Thursday Widows: It’s a new series calling the shots on Netflix, but is it worth watching?

Thursday Widows, a growing series!

One might believe, reading the title and seeing the poster, that this is another reality show like Real Housewives. which is not the case. Thursday Widows is the name of the platform’s newest Mexican production.

It takes us to a luxurious community away from society, where the richest families in the country seem to live in harmony. Every Thursday, the men gather for a game of cards, while the women (who call themselves widows for fun) enjoy exchanging gossip over a good glass of wine. Everything about them is disgusting: from the way of life to false goodness.

The series begins with the mysterious death of three of them after a most suspicious incident. Who is to blame? And why ? Episode 6 of the series gives us fragments of answers, between lies and betrayal… because these are the two main ingredients of Thursday Widows: sex, trash, coups. spectator. And it works because the series is a hit in France and around the world.

Each episode, just 45 minutes long, focuses on the story of one of the 5 families (also told from the point of view of one of the widows). Don’t expect a great series with this new Netflix production, which gets lost in the various temporalities and acting that is tentative. The reason why subscribers are allocated:
