A new opus that once again gathered more than 4 million viewers, or 22.1% of the entire population aged four and over and 7.9% of women under 50 responsible for purchases (FRDA-50). These figures allowed the channel to hold onto the number one audience spot that evening, ahead of France 3 and TF1.
Released in 2017, The Art of Crime is one of France 2’s flagship series that quickly found an audience. For 7 seasons, viewers have been following the investigation of stubborn and somewhat sane police officer Antoine Verle and Florence Chassan, a famous art historian with boundless imagination.
Each episode draws viewers into a new, well-crafted detective story that revolves around famous works of art and historical mysteries. The first episode of season 7 of the detective series, which aired this Monday, December 4, took viewers to the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, where the medium is killed.
The duo suspects a group of avid historians obsessed with Marie-Antoinette. He urged the deceased to find a valuable item that belonged to the queen.
