Check which excuses for absence are accepted to attend Encceja 2024 for free, for those who were absent in 2023

The deadline to justify the absence from Encceja 2023 expires today, April 5. It is necessary to carry out this procedure only if you were registered for the latest edition of Encceja and were absent on the day of the test.




If the justification is not accepted or sent, a fee will be required. R$40 to register for Encceja 2024. The appeal period will be between April 15th and 19th.

Justifications demonstrating the absence in Encceja 2023

Check out what they are below accepted justifications for the absence of Encceja 2023 and the documents that must be sent together, according to the notice:

  • Assault/theft – Legible police report, with full name, CPF and/or ID of the participant involved, with report of assault/theft which must have occurred before 3.15pm (Brasilia time) on August 27, 2023 or 17th of October 18, 2023 for those who take the tests again.

  • Car accident – Legible police report, with the full name, CPF and/or identity card of the participant involved, with a report of the road accident which must have occurred before 3.15pm (Brasilia time) on August 27, 2023 or October 17 or October 18, 2023 for those retaking the tests.

  • Marriage/stable union – Legible marriage certificate or stable partnership contract, issued/signed up to 5 (five) days before 27 August 2023 or 17 or 18 October 2023 for participants in the reapplication of the tests, with the participant’s full name.

  • Death in the family – Certificate of death occurring up to 8 (eight) days before the date of the Exam, 27 August 2023 or 17 or 18 October 2023 for participants in the reapplication of the tests, spouse or partner, father, mother or legal guardian, grandfather, grandmother , brother, son or stepson, with documentation proving the relationship.

  • Maternity – Legible birth or adoption certificate that includes the date of August 27, 2023 or October 17 or 18, 2023 for re-testing participants, which contains the participant’s full name.

  • Paternity – Legible birth or adoption certificate that includes the date of August 27, 2023 or October 17 or 18, 2023 for re-testing participants, which contains the participant’s full name.

  • Family support – Document, issued by an established authority, proving the accompaniment of the spouse or partner who moved to another city between 3 June and 27 August 2023 or 17 or 18 October 2023 for participants in the reapplication of the tests, with documentation proving the Connection occurred.

  • Deprivation of liberty – Arrest warrant or similar document certifying deprivation of liberty on 27 August 2023 or 17 or 18 October 2023 for participants in the reapplication of evidence, containing the full name of the participant and the signature of the competent body.

  • Medical emergency/hospitalization/medical consultation – Legible medical or dental certificate, with the participant’s full name, specifying the medical or dental emergency covering August 27, 2023 or October 17 or 18, 2023 for participants retaking the tests. The document must contain the number of the Regional Council of Medicine (CRM), of the Registry of the Ministry of Health (RMS) or of the Regional Council of Dentistry (CRO) and the signature of the responsible doctor or dentist. Family accompanying certificates containing the participant’s full name will also be accepted.

  • Work – Declaration of professional activity, with the full name of the participant, which includes the date of 27 August 2023 or 17 or 18 October 2023 for participants in the reapplication of the tests, with the number of the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) and identification and signature of the employer responsible for the declaration.

  • Go to work – Signed declaration of exercise of professional activity containing the reason for the move, with the full name of the participant, which includes the date of 27 August 2023 or 17 or 18 October 2023 for participants in the reapplication of the tests, with the Register number national body of legal entities (CNPJ) and identification and signature of the employer responsible for the declaration.

  • Academic exchange – Document signed, in Portuguese, by the international educational institution proving the international exchange, containing the identification of the educational institution, the full name of the participant and the period of the course, and covering August 27, 2023 or 17 or October 18, 2023 for those who retake the tests.

  • Curricular activity – Declaration or signed document demonstrating the student’s participation in a curricular activity, in Brazil or abroad, covering August 27, 2023 or October 17 and 18, 2023 for participants in the reapplication of tests.
