The Festival celebrates 40 years by highlighting Brazilian musicians for the first time, with an entire day of programming without foreign artists
Rock in Rio 2024 has finalized the stage program for its 40th anniversary edition without planning any new international shows, beyond those previously announced. The organizers of the event announced the addition of Luísa Sonza, who will open the Palco Mundo on the last day of the festival (22/9), and Gaby Amarantos, in the show Para Semper: MPB, on Dia Brasil (21/9) , to complete the program and open ticket sales
Ticket sales
Tickets for Rock in Rio will be on sale from Thursday at 7pm exclusively on the Ticketmaster website, but customers with Itaú, Credicard or Iti credit cards will be able to purchase them in advance between Monday (12th) and Thursday of the fair.
Celebration and programming
Zé Ricardo, artistic vice-president of Rock World, underlined the news: “Today we complete the billboard of the Mundo, Sunset, Espaço Favela and New Dance Order stages. New Dance Order grows and acquires greater importance, Favela goes beyond landing in Rio de Janeiro , Sunset will have the same stage as the gigantic Palco Mundo, plus a completely renovated Rock City.”
