Tour that celebrates the band’s first two albums will pass through Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo
Almost two years after performing at the Primavera Sound São PauloO Interpol returns to Brazil for solo shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Americans will celebrate the band’s first two albums: Turn On The Bright Lights (2002) and Antics (2004).
“We saw that the two albums have very close birthdays, so we looked at the calendar and thought it would be a great opportunity to return to Brazil and play these albums from start to finish”, argued the guitarist Daniel Kessler in an interview with Splash. “We’ve never done anything like this before, anywhere,” she pointed out.

When you make a record and choose the sequence of songs, you do it thinking about how you’re going to listen to it. Playing live is a very different experience. This forces us to be really present and very focused. Listening to an album and playing that album live are very different ways of approaching a show.
