Marisa Monte will perform for free in Sao Paulo; see all the details


The artist will perform in the Praça do Relógio, an important architectural landmark of the institution, located in the Cidade Universitária, in São Paulo

Marisa Monte will perform a free show at USP on June 22, a Saturday. The information was released by journalist José Norberto Flesch in a publication on X (formerly Twitter) and confirmed by Estadao with the help of the artist.

The show will take place in the Praça do Relógio, starting at 3pm, and the singer will be accompanied by the University of São Paulo Symphony Orchestra. The show/concert is also part of the university’s 90th anniversary celebration.

Although free, the event will collect warm clothing and non-perishable food for the Central Única das Favelas (Cufa). The show will be directed by maestro André Bachur and will see 60 musicians on stage.

On the day of the concert the entrances to the Cidade Universitária will be open to the public. Additionally, the event will feature a food truckhydration points and toilets.

Marisa Monte goes to Europe in July. Among other cities, the singer will perform in Rome, Madrid and Barcelona. Your last stop on the old continent will be in Freiburg on August 2nd.
