The site interviewed last week, Chris DalstonDirector of International Tours of the Agency CAAresponsible for big name shows like Lionel Richie, Bon Jovi AND queen.
In his analysis, Dalston highlighted the most recent tour of AC/DC Regarding ticket sales: “We think it’s going to be one of the biggest tours of all time, but you never know for sure until the tickets go on sale… You can’t sleep, I was nervous,” the executive explained.
And he continued: “I woke up at 2:30 or 3 in the morning and Europe had already opened (ticket sales) – and we had already sold out some shows.”
Dalstonthen, he revealed: “They sold 1.5 million tickets in one day… It’s impressive because they’re very particular in the way they do their business. They don’t do VIP. They don’t do dynamic ticket pricing. They never want to hear fans complaining about it. Ticket prices are too high. There’s also a point where we push a little bit because otherwise they couldn’t afford to go on tour, especially when they play one day and take three days off.
As of today, the AC/DC account with 21 shows scheduled for Europebetween the days May 17th and August 17th. A Chris DalstonThe planned dates could help convince the band to expand their current tour.
“Obviously, the goal is to hope that they continue, if they like it and if it works well… try to keep them on the road in 2025, 2026, 2027, however long they want to play, but we have to get through Europe first.”he concluded.
