Oasis announces limited edition of Be Here Now to commemorate the album’s 25th anniversary

To celebrate 25 years of Be Here Now (1997), third studio album by Oasisthe band formed by the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will release some limited edition formats of the work on August 19, 2022 via the label Big Brother Recordingsaccording to information from Rolling Stone USA. The LP was originally released on August 21, 1997.

Formats include a double silver vinyl record, a double picture disc and a cassette tape, all of which are available exclusively from the English band’s online store. It’s worth remembering how all these formats have remastered audio – and pre-order is now available.

As a prelude to this relaunch of Be Here Now, Oasis shared a video with the lyrics of “D’You Know What I Mean? (NG’s 2016 Rethink).” The original version of this song, which was the first single from the original record, has been number one in the UK charts for exactly 25 years.

Be Here Now was the successor of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? (1995) and produced by Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher. The work was recorded in the studios Abbey Road, Ridge Farm, air, Master Rock and Orinoco between November 1996 and April 1997.

Oasis: Liam Gallagher performs hit ‘Roll It Over’ for the first time live

Liam Gallagherformer member of Oasis, started the summer tour last Wednesday, 1, with a show in Manchester, at the Etihad Stadium. In the live performance, in addition to the band’s usual hits and other solo songs, the artist surprised fans by playing “Roll It Over,” from disk Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000), according to information from the NME.

“Roll It Over” is the closing track of the album released on February 28, 2000 and has never been played live before – either by Oasis or by the other projects of the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. “This is for all the old school fans of Oasis,” said Liam before playing the track. “You should remember that.”

In addition, in another moment of the presentation, the singer also brought “More Power,” from the solo record C’mon You Know (2022), for the first time live.
