Cher shared in memoir how she lost her virginity
Cher shared details about the circumstances that led to her losing her virginity. In his memoir, Cher: The Memoir, Part Oneshe said that she had her first boyfriend at age 14, when she noticed a crush on a neighbor.
The singer, however, noticed that the boy changed his behavior around his friends. “He was sweet enough when we were alone, but as soon as his friends showed up, he treated me like an embarrassed child,” she wrote.

On one occasion, when her boyfriend went out with his friends to a restaurant, she stated that they asked the boy if he would take “that kid” with him, referring to Cher. At that moment, the artist was dumped by her boyfriend.
“I was so hurt when he did that, that I had revenge sex with him. I never wanted to. Otherwise, I would have done it the other thousands of times he asked,” she confessed. “But I was so angry about being dumped that I decided if I didn’t lose, I would lend him my virginity.”
She added: “When what turned out to be a tremendously overrated experience came to an end, I asked him, ‘Is this it? Are we done?’ So I told him to go home and never come back. I wanted him to feel as despised as he made me feel.”

According to the singer, her ex-boyfriend tried to make peace with her, but they never spoke again.
“My mother warned me that the moment I lost my virginity, she would know because she would see it in my eyes. So, after having sex with the Italian, I ran to the mirror to check,” he recalled. “I almost expected to see the word SEX flashing in fluorescent letters on my forehead, but I couldn’t notice anything different, and neither could she.”
Cher revealed to her friends that she had lost her virginity: “I told my friends that the ‘thing’ they were always talking about wasn’t a big deal and that they should just keep kissing,” she recalls.
