Gracie Abramsa 25 year old singer who has opened 49 shows of THE Age Tours From Taylor Swifthe described the last night of the tour, December 8 in Vancouver, as an emotionally charged moment. In an interview with Nylon published last Tuesday (17), Abrams revealed that the atmosphere behind the scenes felt like “the last day of school”.
Everyone spent the day crying. We were walking backstage with the books of THE Tour of the Agessigning each other’s books. Everyone had a pen in their hand.
Seeing someone have the ability, in a stadium, to make you look like you were the only two people there, was extremely important to me.
Abrams, who accompanied Taylor Swift on several shows around the world, said the tour was a milestone in his career and personal life. “I am thrilled, grateful and shocked to know that as a global community we will no longer have this source of light,” he said of the tour’s conclusion.
In addition to opening the shows, Abrams wanted to learn from every detail of Swift’s performances. “I basically studied the show for a year and a half. I watched everything, even live broadcasts of shows I wasn’t at. I learned from every conversation we had, even about the weather,” revealed.
Abrams also shared that his career took a significant leap after participating THETour of the Ages. In October he released the single It’s really true and performed with Swift again.
Partnership on stage and new horizons
On the final leg of the tour, Abrams took the stage with Taylor for a special mashup of “Out of the Woods” and “We”collaboration between the two on the album Our secret by Abrams, during a show in Toronto. The singer, daughter of director JJ Abrams and executive Katie McGrath, highlighted how this partnership and the visibility of the tour influenced her work.
Now, Gracie Abrams is preparing to put the lessons learned during to use THETour of the Ages for the next phase of your career. His North American solo tour will begin in July 2025.
