Scorpions revisit their hard rock roots with “Hammersmith”

The legendary German band Scorpions makes the unreleased track available this Friday (12) Hammersmith like a contemporary manifesto, showing how enthusiastic they are for them hard rock, its roots and the weight of the parent metal. The single is already on all digital platforms from Universal Music, on vertigo.

“The song takes us back to a time when we played in smaller clubs, only dreaming of being able to play the Temple of Rock, the Hammersmith Odeon”, recalls the singer Klaus Meine.





Composed of Rudolf Schenkerfounder of Scorpionsby the drummer Mikey Dee And Magnus Ax, Hammersmith grant the meine a great opportunity to show that not only is he able to perfectly intone the balladic tones of the great songs of the band, but that his rock voice is also incredible.

The track has an almost brutal start, in which Mikey Deethe great former Motörhead drummer, sets the tone, followed by guitar sounds that open the stage to the voices of Klaus Meine. The song unfolds in a harmonious mix of riffs and heavy drum sounds.
