Singer Naldy Saldaña expressed concern over the unknown location of César Sánchez Chavesta, the former musical director of cumbia group La Bella Luz, after filing a legal complaint against him for alleged inappropriate touching.
Speaking during an August 7 interview on Magaly TV, la firme, the 26-year-old artist stated that she fears the accused man will not answer to authorities. Saldaña explained that she maintains constant communication with her lawyers and that the legal process continues to move forward.
Saldaña urged the Peruvian public and women to keep fighting until justice is served in the case. She emphasized that her main goal is obtaining justice for herself and for all women.
Her statements followed an official announcement from members of La Bella Luz and the resignation of Óscar Custodio. Although Custodio offered apologies and the orchestra adopted measures after the complaint became public, Saldaña affirmed that she wants the investigation to continue until the case is fully clarified.
Search for former music director
Reports indicate that Sánchez Chavesta has not been seen recently at his home in the San Juan de Lurigancho district. Neighbors told Latina Noticias that they have not seen him at the property since the allegation of inappropriate touching became public knowledge.
Sánchez Chavesta resides at the home alongside his children and other family members. His wife, Mary Meza, previously spoke in his defense and claimed that Saldaña had a secret relationship with her husband.
