A film capturing Ozzy Osbourne's final concert with Black Sabbath will be released in cinemas worldwide on October 28, according to Variety. The film, titled "Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning," documents the band's farewell performance.
The movie is directed by Ben Wainwright-Pierce, who also directed "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour." A press release described the film as a "fully immersive audiovisual experience," with tickets going on sale September 24 through the film's official website.
Distributor calls concert a cultural landmark
Mark Allenby, chief executive of Trafalgar Releasing, the company handling the film's cinema distribution, said the Osbourne and Black Sabbath "Back to the Beginning" concert had been a landmark moment for culture. He said bringing it to cinemas around the world was an opportunity to further cement Osbourne's legacy and influence, adding that the company could not wait to give fans everywhere the chance to experience this final celebration of Osbourne and Black Sabbath together on the big screen.

A farewell in his hometown
The concert took place on July 5, 2025, in Birmingham, England, just 17 days before Osbourne's death on July 22. The performance served as a homecoming for Osbourne, and as a way for him to say goodbye to his fans as a heavy metal legend.
Ozzy Osbourne rose to fame as the frontman of Black Sabbath, the Birmingham band widely credited with pioneering heavy metal in the late 1960s and early 1970s, before going on to a long solo career.
Jason Momoa hosted the night
Actor Jason Momoa hosted the concert. Osbourne first performed a solo set before being joined onstage by Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, the group's founding members, for the first time in 20 years.
Star-studded lineup and huge audience
Other performers at the concert included David Draiman of Disturbed, Halestorm, Travis Barker, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool and Alice in Chains. Around 42,000 spectators watched live at Villa Park stadium, while another 3 million people tuned in through a paid livestream.

Sharon Osbourne, his wife and manager, said in a previous statement that "Back to the Beginning" came about after she asked her husband what would truly make him happy. She said he told her the only thing that would make him happy was being able to perform again and say goodbye to his fans, adding that this was all he wanted to do, to tell them goodbye and thank you.
