Perrie Edwards has parted ways with her management company Modest Management and record label Sony after 15 years together, according to reports.
The 33-year-old singer turned down an offer to record her second solo album with Columbia Records, choosing instead to join Various Artists Management.
She has now signed with Various Artists Management, the industry team behind music acts including Tom Grennan and Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm.
A source told The Sun: "This is a hugely exciting new chapter in Perrie’s solo career. She is assembling a new team around her as she begins work on her second album."
"Perrie has come away from her first solo campaign with an even clearer sense of the artist she wants to be and the creative direction she wants to explore next," the source added.
"She was offered the opportunity to make her second album with Columbia, but after more than a decade with Sony and Modest Management, she felt the time was right for a change across her career and a fresh start as she moves into this next era."
Edwards is currently focusing on building a new team around her as she prepares her second album. The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Edwards for comment.
Modest Management is a London-based artist management firm that guided Edwards throughout her career, while Sony Music Entertainment umbrella label Columbia Records handled her initial solo releases. Her new management team, Various Artists Management, also represents prominent British performers such as singer-songwriter Tom Grennan and Spice Girls member Melanie Chisholm.
Solo music career and debut album
Edwards launched her solo music career in 2024 with her hit debut single Forget About Us. The track reached the Top ten in the UK singles chart and has accumulated more than 51 million streams to date.
She followed her lead single with several additional track releases throughout 2024, culminating in an overall total of 98 million streams for the year. However, during the Christmas break in 2024, Edwards decided to pause her solo music career.
She subsequently resumed her schedule and released her debut album titled Perrie last year. The songstress was also seen performing on the main stage of Big Feastival on Friday night, delivering a live performance for festival attendees.
Big Feastival is an annual food and music festival held on Alex James's farm in the Cotswolds over the August bank holiday weekend, drawing music fans each summer.
Little Mix success and rise to fame
Edwards first catapulted to international fame in 2011 as a member of the British girl group Little Mix on the television talent competition show The X Factor. The group won the series, becoming the first group in the show's history to claim victory.
Their win launched a decade-long career that established Little Mix as one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, with more than 60 million records sold worldwide. The line-up comprised Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Edwards, and Jesy Nelson.
Following their decision to split, all four members went on separate ventures to launch their respective solo careers.
Marriage and family life
Away from music, Edwards married her footballer husband Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in June. The couple wed in a picturesque Catholic church in the sleepy village of Estoi in Portugal, with Edwards wearing a Bardot form-skimming Dana Harel lace gown.
The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Alanis, in January. Alanis is the younger sister to their son Axel, who was born in 2021.
Speaking about her relationship with Oxlade-Chamberlain on Jamie Laing's Good Company podcast shortly before their wedding, Edwards described their bond as supportive and stable.
"It’s safety, it’s calm," Edwards said during the podcast appearance. "It’s being able to approach that person with anything and know that they’ll support you. They’ve always got your back."
She added: "It’s a healthy love and I can’t explain it. It just feels nice."
Oxlade-Chamberlain is an English professional footballer who has played for major clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool, as well as the England national team. The village of Estoi, where the couple exchanged vows, is located in the Faro Municipality of southern Portugal's Algarve region.
