Princess Andre left her mother Katie Price out of her social media photo gallery following the National Television Awards at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old television star posted an array of glamorous pictures from the annual ceremony to her 1 million Instagram followers. Wearing a glittery blue ballgown, Princess posed for photographs alongside her elder brother, 21-year-old Junior Andre. However, Price was completely absent from her daughter's social media collection following reports that the former glamour model had ambushed the teenagers on the red carpet.
Princess initially shared a transformation video with her followers showing her changing from casual, comfortable clothes into her sparkly blue gown. She captioned the clip: "Really was living up to my name at the NTAs last night."
Four hours after her initial upload, the television personality shared a second post featuring a professional solo photograph, an image with Junior, and a shot of herself walking through the event venue. Price did not feature in any of the pictures selected for the online gallery.
The National Television Awards, held annually at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, London, is one of the biggest nights in British broadcasting, celebrating achievements across terrestrial television and streaming platforms. Princess and Junior had attended the event to promote the upcoming series of their reality show, The Princess Diaries, which streams on ITVX and broadcasts on ITV2.
Red Carpet Ambush
The siblings were scheduled to walk the red carpet together without their mother. However, a source close to Princess said that Price unexpectedly arrived on the carpet to stand alongside them, leaving the teenagers with no choice but to pose for photographs with her. The source said: "She and Junior had no choice. Katie walked straight on to the red carpet to stand with her and hijacked her big moment."
An onlooker told the Daily Mail that Princess and Junior had an organised escort up the red carpet and spent substantial time speaking to members of the press individually. Price arrived at the venue alone, well after her children had already arrived. Rather than attending as a guest of a television network, Price was understood to be attending in the box of a tabloid newspaper.
The witness explained that because Princess and Junior spent so long interviewing with journalists, they had not progressed far down the carpet when Price arrived wearing heavy makeup. Price skipped the press line entirely, strode directly over to her children, and grabbed them for photographs.
Despite being left out of her daughter's Instagram gallery, Price dedicated a post on her own Instagram account to her children following the event. The 48-year-old reality personality shared a photograph of Junior and Princess together alongside a picture of herself posing with Princess. Price captioned her post: "NTAs with Junior & Princess."
Cosmetic Surgery and Split from Lee Andrews
The ceremony marked Price's first public appearance since her split from Lee Andrews, whom she reportedly dumped over text message. Price had previously claimed to have married Andrews in January, though the marriage appears to now be a sham.
Family friends indicated that Junior and Princess have struggled at times with their mother's erratic behaviour. The siblings were understood to have been deeply worried about her relationship with Andrews.
Price was determined to attend the glamorous awards show despite revealing earlier in the day that she had undergone cosmetic procedures just hours before arriving at the O2 Arena. She disclosed that she had received facial filler treatments and new breast implants, which left her with a black eye.
To cover the swelling and black eye, Price shocked attendees with a heavy makeup look featuring bold black eyeliner, highlight, and lips heavily lined with brown gloss. Covering her new breast implants, she wore a long-sleeved white shirt with a pair of nude and black lace shorts, paired with black tights and black high heels. She gelled her hair back into a wet look and accessorised with large diamond Valentino earrings.
Family Background and Television Shows
Junior and Princess are Price's children from her marriage to singer turned reality star Peter Andre. Their parents met in 2004 while filming the ITV reality series I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and were married from 2005 until 2009. A source close to the siblings told the Daily Mail: "Junior and Princess love their mum, they always will, but they find the whole circus of her life hard sometimes."
The siblings continue to focus on their television careers with The Princess Diaries. Price did not appear in person during the show's first series, with her involvement restricted to a WhatsApp voice note.
