Rock in Rio 2026 opens on Friday, September 4, in Rio de Janeiro, with tickets remaining available for four of its seven scheduled festival dates.
Passes are still available for September 4, 5, 11, and 13, while dates on September 6, 7, and 12 are completely sold out. Organisers noted that ticket availability on the official Ticketmaster Brasil website can change at any moment.
Standard Gramado lawn tickets cost R$ 870 for full price and R$ 435 for half-price entry. The Comfort Zone option, which provides access to the Gramado area and an exclusive section near the main Palco Mundo stage, is priced at R$ 1,950 for full price and R$ 975 for half-price entry per sector and date.
Rock in Rio is an international music festival held at the purpose-built Cidade do Rock inside Barra Olympic Park in western Rio de Janeiro. The Olympic park hosted major sporting events during the 2016 Summer Games before serving as a permanent complex for large-scale cultural events and concerts.
Sold out dates and major stage lineups
Demand for the three sold out festival days is led by prominent international and Brazilian performers across multiple stages. On September 6, the Palco Mundo stage will host Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas, Nelly, and Barão Vermelho performing an original lineup reunion set with guest guitarist Fernando Magalhães. The Sunset stage features Ne-Yo, Jota Quest performing a Tim Maia tribute, BaianaSystem, and Calema. Meduza, Casa Bonita alongside Brisotti and Viot, Liu, and Sofi Tukker headline the New Dance Order stage. Espaço Favela presents Xamã, Rael, and Budah, while Palco Supernova features João Gordo and Asteroides Trio, Matanza Ritual, Bayside Kings, and O Escritório. The Global Village stage hosts Mohamed Ramadan, Mãeana, and Bento Gil featuring Flor Gil.
On September 7, the sold out Palco Mundo lineup features Elton John, Gilberto Gil, Jon Batiste, and Luísa Sonza featuring bossa nova musician Roberto Menescal. The Sunset stage presents Laufey, Péricles performing Motown songs, Roupa Nova featuring Guilherme Arantes, and Vanessa da Mata featuring Rubel. New Dance Order features Fatboy Slim, Aline Rocha, Leo Janeiro with Simo Not Simon, and Max Styler. Espaço Favela presents Belo, Mart'nália, and Tiee, while Palco Supernova features Alee, Zeca Veloso, Melly, and Maui. The Global Village stage hosts João Bosco, Joyce Moreno, Leila Pinheiro, Fernanda Takai, and Wanda Sá.
The final sold out day on September 12 brings Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, J Balvin, and Pedro Sampaio to Palco Mundo. Sunset stage performers include Mumford and Sons, João Gomes alongside the Orquestra Brasileira, Gilsons featuring Daniela Mercury and Olodum, and Criolo performing with Amaro and Dino. New Dance Order features Alok presenting Rave The World, Alok and Family, Gabe, Adam Sellouk, and Bhaskar. Espaço Favela hosts Timbalada, Priscila Senna, and Soul de Brasileiro. Palco Supernova features Delacruz, Milo J, Yago Oproprio, and Celo Dut, while Global Village presents Mestrinho, Hamilton de Holanda, and Badi Assad.
Artist popularity and television coverage
A travel survey conducted by ClickBus identified English singer Elton John as the primary artist motivating music fans to travel to the festival, cited by 12.6 percent of respondents. American singer Demi Lovato ranked second in the study, cited by 10.3 percent of surveyed travelers.
The survey ranking also identified Halsey, Calvin Harris, Foo Fighters, Stray Kids, Twenty One Pilots, Zara Larsson, Luísa Sonza, and Jamiroquai among the leading musical acts encouraging travel to the event.
Fans who cannot attend Cidade do Rock in person will be able to watch performances on television. Media group Grupo Globo will broadcast the festival, with cable channel Multishow airing live sets from the Palco Mundo and Sunset stages starting at 3:15 p.m. daily.

Opening day on September 4 features Foo Fighters, Rise Against, The Hives, and Nova Twins on Palco Mundo. Sunset stage hosts Capital Inicial featuring Dado Villa-Lobos, Hot Milk, and Detonautas featuring Biquini and Di Ferrero. New Dance Order presents Steve Angello, Giu with Carola, Atkö, and Cat Dealers. Espaço Favela features Rodrigo do CN, Hitmaker, and GBZ7N, while Palco Supernova presents Diogo Defante, Venere Vai Venus, Rock in Gil featuring Larissa Luz, and Chady. Global Village hosts Paulinho Moska, Leela, and Giovana Moraes.
On September 5, Palco Mundo presents Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, MGK, and Sepultura. Sunset stage features Bad Omens, Poppy, Black Pantera featuring Nervosa, and Malvada featuring Day Limns. New Dance Order hosts James Hype, Volkoder, Camina Jun with Eli Iwasa, and Victor Lou. Espaço Favela features Major RD, Canto Cego, and Quantum, while Palco Supernova presents Supercombo, Lvcas, MC Taya, and Zerobadass. Global Village hosts Korzus, Noturnall with Russell Allen, and Rhegia.
On September 11, Palco Mundo features Stray Kids, Alok presenting Keep Art Human, Hwasa, and Nexz. Sunset stage presents Jamiroquai, PJ Morton, Os Garotin featuring Duquesa, and Jota.Pê featuring Luedji Luna and Zaynara. New Dance Order features Neelix and Vegas, Omiki, Departamento, and Anna. Espaço Favela hosts MC Cabelinho featuring TZ da Coronel, Puterrier with MC Carol, and Caio Luccas. Palco Supernova presents NandaTsunami, Ananda, Isa Buzzi, and Muse Maya, while Global Village hosts Soulidifield, Rio Bronx, and Lambateria featuring Félix Robatto.
The festival concludes on September 13 with Twenty One Pilots, Halsey, Lola Young, and Ivete Sangalo on Palco Mundo. Sunset stage features Zara Larsson, Marina Sena featuring Céu, Joelma featuring Viviane Batidão, and Carol Biazin featuring Joyce Alane. New Dance Order presents John Summit, Roddy Lima, Illusionize, and a performance by Dawn Patrol, Maz, Andot, Riascode, and Bakka.
