The television presenter showcased the high-street piece as part of a practical outdoor outfit designed for exploring nature, transitioning from the more relaxed looks she wore earlier during her stay in the capital city of Quito.

Her latest look paired the wide-brimmed headwear with khaki green cargo trousers, a white vest top, tall boots, and a black backpack. The combination allowed Carbonero to adapt her luggage for varied outdoor activities without packing an excessive amount of clothing.

Zara reversible linen hat features

The centerpiece of her nature outfit is a reversible bucket hat crafted from linen by Spanish fashion retailer Zara, priced at 22.95 euros. One side of the design features stripes in various earth tones, while the reversible construction allows the wearer to switch styles without carrying additional accessories.

Designed with a wide brim to provide practical sun protection during hours spent outdoors, the accessory contrasts with the technical garments in the rest of her ensemble. The juxtaposition reflects the personal bohemian aesthetic that characterises Carbonero's public wardrobe.

Versatile styling across Ecuador

The choice of headwear marks a shift from her earlier stop in Quito, where she wore a completely different hat from Spanish artisan fashion brand La Mansa. Both accessories were selected to change the tone of relatively basic clothing items across different stages of the same South American trip.

Carbonero has relied on accessories rather than statement garments to add personality to her holiday wardrobe. By swapping hats and footwear, basic items such as trousers, t-shirts, and shirts can be reused for different plans throughout a multi-week journey.

Sara Carbonero is a Spanish journalist and broadcaster who rose to fame as a sports presenter before co-founding fashion labels and becoming a prominent style figure in Spain. Zara, founded in Galicia in 1975, is the flagship brand of Inditex, one of the world's largest fashion retail groups. Ecuador, located in northwestern South America, encompasses varied geographical terrain including the Andean highlands, Amazon rainforest, and Pacific coastline.
