The piece has arrived in the flagship brand's latest collection as shoppers prepare for late summer ceremonies. Retailers typically introduce softer pastel tones during this seasonal transition to bridge bright summer palettes and deeper autumn colors.
The design reinterprets the traditional Spanish mantón by incorporating classic fringe and intricate embroidery into a modern garment. The mantón de Manila, a traditional silk shawl decorated with floral motifs and long hand-tied fringe, has long been a staple of formal Iberian attire, regional festivities, and traditional celebratory dress.
Confectioned from a main viscose fabric, the garment features a fluid neckline and short sleeves. Dark floral embroidery runs across much of the main piece, breaking up the solid lilac background without making the item appear overly heavy.
Fringe detailing along the sleeves forms a mesh structure that leaves portions of the arms exposed. Additional fringe extends below the hemline of the skirt, moving with every step. The dress is part of the ZW Collection and retails at 79.95 euros.
