lilo and point : incredible success
In the early 2000s, Disney faces competing studies who stand out for their talent. Dreamworks on the one hand (saga Shrek), and Pixar on the other (saga History of the toy, Monsters and company, Nemo’s world). It is in this particular period that lilo and point in 2002.
A film not particularly anticipated at the time. We follow Lilo, a Hawaiian girl who sees a ferocious and indomitable animal land on her island: Stitch. The latter turns out to be a fugitive alien. Between the maiden and the beast, thus a beautiful friendship is created.

The unlikely success of lilo and point turns out to be a breath of fresh air for the study that will then create a real franchise around it. Sequels, but also television series, video games and other derivative products. No wonder Disney is once again capitalizing on this film in its strategy of making live-action remakes of its animated classics.
A young emerging actress
As is often the case with this type of remake that takes place in foreign locations, Disney wants its performers to keep the same origin. Thus, following the example of Liu Yifei to Mulan and Mena Massoud for Aladdin, the studio wanted Lilo to be of Hawaiian descent. It will therefore be the very young actress Maia Kealoha who will carry on the film, only 9 years old. It will be the very first role of a career that we hope will be rich for her.
Maia Kealoha is therefore the second name in the cast of this remake of lilo and point, after that of Zach Galafiniakis. Indeed, the star of the saga very bad trip will be featured in this movie but it is not yet known which character he will play. Above all, we are waiting to know if Chris Sanders will once again lend his voice to the famous Stitch, which for the moment is announced IMDB extension.
