Successes don’t always arrive where we expect them, and so it is a recent and discreet new addition in the catalog of Netflix series which further proves it. The Dutch detective series The golden hour it’s really the feeling of the moment, and it’s been chasing me Peace Massiliathe new series by Olivier Marchal, from first place in the Top series in France.
Added to December 15th on Netflix, this new series is therefore very popular with French subscribers. His recipe? A twisted detective story in Amsterdam, where a policeman of Afghan origins, Mardik, investigates a terrorist attack and he is interested in the suspects, including one in particular whom he knows very well: Faysal, his childhood friend, who returned to Amsterdam on the same day as the attack… The golden hour it’s a series violent – and not recommended for children under 16 -, realistic and with a frontal approach to contemporary issues.

A series that has the air ofGears and those interested in the Moroccan mafia groups established in the Netherlands. Undoubtedly inspired by its success, Netflix therefore had the good idea of acquiring its distribution rights abroad The golden hourcreation of the writer, screenwriter and director Simon de Waal, a specialist in Dutch crime fiction.
The golden hourmade of 6 episodes of approximately 50 minutes eachhe is also played by Nasrdin Dchar, one of the main actors of the series Mocromafia. The cast around him is made up in particular of Ellen Parren, Mohammed Azaay and Matteo van der Grijn, Nabil Mallat, Abbas Fasaei and Yannick de Waal.
